Accomodation

The conference accommodations will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Hamilton. Conference attendees can receive a discounted rate of $129 per night. The rooms will be available at this rate from October 1st until 5th 2008, if you wish to arrive early or stay in town an extra day.

There have been a set number of rooms reserved for the conference. 65% of these rooms must be filled or ISSSS will suffer a financial penalty for all the rooms that are not booked. Please do not wait until the cutoff date: September 8th. Please reserve rooms as early as possible for the earlier you reserve the better for ISSSS. You can do this immediately on the website and do not have to wait until your abstract is approved.

Travel

When traveling internationally to Canada please plan in advance to ensure you have the appropriate documentation.

When traveling from the United States to Canada, citizens need to present either (a) a passport, passport card (scheduled to be in full production beginning in July 2008), or WHTI-compliant document; or (b) a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, along with proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate. For more information, please refer to the following US Government website for specific travel requirements.

If you are an international delegate outside of the US and will be requiring a letter confirming your attendance to the conference for your VISA application, please contact Noori Akhtar-Danesh.
